How should I care for my animal before I bring it in?

Keep it cool and get it to the shop as soon as you can. For deer, do not cut the cape short behind the shoulder. For birds and fish, freeze them and avoid letting them dry out. Call if you are unsure and we will talk you through it.

Do I have to field dress or cape the animal myself?

No. Call before you cut anything. A cape trimmed too short limits the poses available, so it is better to ask first.
